How do we do it? We are Nigeria’s oldest marketers and manufacturers of superior paints and high-performance coatings. Our product line spans from Interior and exterior coatings, protective coatings, marine coatings, flooring systems to allied construction products.
Being passionately consumer-oriented, our products are manufactured to the highest of quality, keeping in mind the goal of not only amplifying appearance but also enhancing the life span of your most valued assets and properties.
With our long history of investments in research and development, we strive to innovate and continue to be at par with the advancements in the industry. Banking on our innovation and international collaborations we expand our product lines unceasingly to meet the emerging needs of our customers.
Our History
How We Started
Born in Lagos, Nigeria in 1949, Regency Overseas company Limited is the first registered paints and coatings company in the country.
Initially, started as a company involved in the imports of some of the world’s best paints . Our founders in the early 60’s set out on a quest to jump-start an industrial manufacturing revolution in the coatings industry in West Africa. The dream was to make Nigeria a self-reliant country in the production of the finest quality of paints, comparable to the best in the world.
The founders in their pursuit of excellence traveled the world to gain the best of technical know-how and technology. It was only after signing a technical collaboration agreement with Sigma Coatings N.V of Holland, a company with superior technical prowess, was their thirst for perfection quenched. Thus began ROL’s tryst with manufacturing a rendezvous that continues till date.

A renowned brand that was established in the year 1962 by Regency Overseas Company Limited under a technical Collaboration with Sigma Coatings N.V of Holland. Silka in existence for the last 58 years is truly one of the oldest brands in Nigeria. Today with our very own in-house R&D we continue to innovate and locally manufacture a vast range of superior quality paints and high-performance coatings.
Brand Details
Established in the early 1920s, in Sandefjord Norway, Jotun today is one of the top coatings manufacturers in the world with 39 production facilities in 23 countries, 65 companies in 47 countries, and representation in over 100 countries around the world. In 2007, Regency Overseas Company Limited entered into a business agreement with Jotun of Norway in order to carry forward our legacy of launching technologically advanced International products and solutions in West Africa.
